Online Parent Coach
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
If you're reading this, there's a good chance it is. Most parents reach out because they're feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsure how to handle something that keeps coming up — and they want things to feel different. If that sounds like you, I'd love to talk about how we can work together.
What is a parent coach, and how is it different from therapy?
A parent coach works alongside you to build practical skills and confidence for the everyday moments of raising kids — think tantrums, sibling fights, screen time, bedtime battles. Unlike therapy, coaching isn't about diagnosing or treating mental health conditions; it's forward-focused, action-oriented, and centered entirely on you and your family's goals.
What ages of kids do you work with?
I work with parents with children in all age ranges, including adult children.
What if my spouse / partner / ex will not join me in parent coaching?
Sometimes, even when both parents are involved, there are disagreements about how to raise our kids, so don't let this deter you from getting help if you need it. Parenting from our principles is important, whether doing it alone, or with a resistant or non-involved co-parent. Kids will eventually (maybe not as soon as you would like) see that you stand for what is best for them. You will also learn how to deal with the resistant or non-involved person.
Is my child involved in the coaching? What if he/she is resistant?
No, your child is not involved in parent coaching. Parenting is about us, the parent, not about our children. Strong parenting comes from creating a vision for what you want in your family, and that vision is based on the principles you value and live by. Your children then learn from you.
